Paperboard

Usually made from waste or recycled fibres, which is white lined chipboard. 2-3 layers of coating on the top and one layer on the reverse side, as it is recycled material it will be grey from inside.

Paperboard is one material that has been widely adopted for a variety of purposes. It is a thick and flat piece of paper manufactured from a network of fibres. Most of these thick sheets of paper are made from cellulose from trees like spruce, eucalyptus, birch, and pine.

Important properties of paperboard include : basis weight, thickness (or caliper), density, bulk, stiffness, bending, ply bonding, and glue ability.

In 1890, the Scottish-born Robert Gair invented the paperboard. The Flat pieces manufactured in bulk that folded into boxes. Paperboard has been widely used for a variety of purposes.
