Tissue Paper

As per the history of the paper invented, the paper was easily available in the market during 15th century. The after so many years in the year of 1857, commercial toilet paper was invented and started using in the western world. Mr. Joseph Gayetty created the toilet paper in packaged form. He marketed the tissue paper as a “Medicated Paper, for the Water-Closet”. Packages of 500 sheets of tissue papers were sold in 50 cents that time. Before that, newspaper was commonly used as toilet paper.

The first tissue products which one we are using today were invented and produced by the American paper manufacturer Kimberly-Clark, who developed cellulose as a replacement for cotton in sanitary products during World War-I.

Tissue paper (or Toilet Paper) in recent time mostly manufactured from a CHEMICAL PULP, but it all comes from
paper. Form of paper used in the production of tissue paper can include various forms of recylced paper, virgine tree pulp, as well as hemp plants.
Most manufacturers of the tissue paper are using the pulp of eucalyptus tree.

America, Russia, China and Europian countries are using the tissue paper as a toilet paper in a huge amount.
