Document feeder will not pull pages

01 · Identify — does this match what you see?

• “Place document” message with paper loaded
• Feeder pulls several sheets at once
• Pages skew as they feed

02 · Resolve — follow in order

1. 1

   Remove the stack and fan it. Staples, clips and folded corners stop the feed sensor.

2. 2

   Slide the paper guides in so they just touch the edges without squeezing.

3. 3

   Wipe the two grey rubber rollers inside the feeder lid with a slightly damp cloth, turning them as you go.

4. 4

   Load no more than 20 sheets of ordinary paper at a time.

5. 5

   Close the feeder lid until it clicks — a lid not fully latched reads as no document.
