Update the Wi-Fi password on your Brother
Changed your Wi-Fi password? The printer keeps trying the old one and never reconnects. Re-run the wizard with the new password.
01 · Identify — does this match what you see?
- Wi-Fi icon shows “not connected” after a password change
- Printer was working before you updated the router
- Other devices reconnected fine but the printer didn't
02 · Resolve — follow in order
- 1
On the panel, go to Menu → Network → WLAN → Setup Wizard.
- 2
Select your network again and enter the new password when prompted.
- 3
Wait for “Connection OK” and a solid Wi-Fi icon.
- 4
If the wizard remembers the old network, choose it and select “Edit” rather than scanning fresh.
- 5
Print a test page from the Brother iPrint&Scan app to confirm two-way communication.
Pro tip
If you use WPS, the password change is automatic — press WPS on the router and the printer re-pairs without retyping anything.
