Fix crooked or skewed prints

Text drifts down the page at an angle. The paper guides are loose or the paper itself is curled — both fixable in a minute.

01 · Identify — does this match what you see?

  • Print is slanted across the page
  • Margins are uneven left vs right
  • Paper enters straight but exits crooked

02 · Resolve — follow in order

  1. 1

Remove the paper and reload it flat against the right and back of the tray.

  2. 2

Slide both paper guides until they just touch the stack on all sides.

  3. 3

Check the paper isn't curled — flip the stack over or use fresh paper.

  4. 4

On the panel, confirm the paper size matches what's loaded (Menu → General Setup → Paper Size).

  5. 5

Print a test page; if still crooked, the tray's rear guide may be set to the wrong size.

Pro tip

A mismatched paper size setting (Letter vs A4) skews every page. Match the panel setting to the actual sheet size before anything else.
