Use the Brother iPrint&Scan app to send a scan straight to your PC. The printer scans, the file lands on your desktop — no email detour needed.
01 · Identify — does this match what you see?
- You want a scanned page as a PDF on your PC
- Scan button on the panel does nothing
- Scanning worked before a reinstall
02 · Resolve — follow in order

Install Brother iPrint&Scan from support.brother.com (Full Driver & Software Package).

Place your page face-down on the glass, top-left corner aligned to the guide.

Open iPrint&Scan on the PC, click Scan, and choose your scanner.

Pick Document Feeder or Flatbed, set resolution (200 dpi is fine for text), and click Scan.

Save the result as PDF, then open it to confirm the page is straight and complete.
Pro tip
For multi-page documents use the ADF (auto document feeder) and select “Document Feeder” — iPrint&Scan stacks every sheet into one PDF automatically.
