Connect your Brother to Wi-Fi
First-time setup or a new router? Use the wireless setup wizard on the printer panel — no USB cable needed on most models.
01 · Identify — does this match what you see?
- Brand-new printer that has never joined your network
- You replaced your router or changed the Wi-Fi password
- The Wi-Fi icon keeps blinking and never goes solid
02 · Resolve — follow in order
- 1
On the printer, press Menu (or Settings) → Network → WLAN (or Wi-Fi) → Setup Wizard.
- 2
When “Enable WLAN?” appears, choose Yes. The printer scans for networks.
- 3
Select your home network from the list and enter the password using the keypad or touchscreen.
- 4
Wait for the connection result. A solid Wi-Fi icon on the panel means it's joined.
- 5
On your computer, install the driver from support.brother.com (search your model) and pick “Wireless Network Connection”.
Pro tip
No time to type a long password? Use WPS instead: Menu → Network → WLAN → WPS (Push Button), then press the WPS button on your router for 2 seconds. Both devices pair automatically.
