Connect an Epson with the WPS button
Skip typing the password: the WPS push-button method pairs the printer and router in about two minutes.
01 · Identify — does this match what you see?
- You don't want to type a long Wi-Fi password on a small screen
- Your router has a WPS button
- The Setup Wizard keeps rejecting a correct password
02 · Resolve — follow in order
- 1
On the printer, go to Settings → Network Settings → Wi-Fi Setup → Push Button Setup (WPS).
- 2
Within two minutes, press and hold the WPS button on your router until its light flashes.
- 3
Wait for the printer to show “Connection successful”.
- 4
If it times out, run it again — the two-minute window closes quickly.
- 5
Print a status sheet to confirm the connection.
Pro tip
If WPS fails three times, your router may have it disabled — log into the router's admin page and switch WPS on, or use the Setup Wizard instead.
