Print from an iPhone or iPad

Most Canon printers print straight from iOS with no app at all, as long as both are on the same Wi-Fi.

01 · Identify — does this match what you see?

  • No printers found in the share sheet
  • Printer only appears sometimes

02 · Resolve — follow in order

  1. 1

Confirm the printer's Wi-Fi lamp is steady and the phone is on the same network — the 2.4 GHz band if your router splits them.

  2. 2

Open the photo or document, tap Share, then Print.

  3. 3

Tap Select Printer and wait a few seconds for your Canon to appear.

  4. 4

Choose paper size and copies, then tap Print.

  5. 5

If nothing is listed, restart the printer and turn the phone's Wi-Fi off and on.

Pro tip

Guest and “isolated” Wi-Fi networks hide printers from phones. Use your main network.
