Align the print head (inkjet)
If text looks fuzzy or colours misregister (a red edge around black text), the print head needs alignment. The printer prints a sheet and reads it automatically.
01 · Identify — does this match what you see?
- Colours bleed into each other
- Text edges look doubled or blurry
- Just replaced an ink cartridge
02 · Resolve — follow in order

Load plain paper in the tray.

On the panel, go to Ink → Alignment (or Improve Print Quality → Alignment).

Press Start to print an alignment sheet.

Some models scan the sheet automatically; others ask you to pick the best-looking block number — enter it on the keypad.

Print a test page to confirm sharp, single edges.
Pro tip
Run alignment once after every cartridge change. It's free (uses almost no ink) and keeps text crisp — skipping it is the usual cause of “fuzzy” prints.
