Stop the paper size mismatch message
The printer compares what you loaded with what the job asks for and stops when they differ.
01 · Identify — does this match what you see?
- “Paper size does not match” at every job
- Printer pauses until you press OK
02 · Resolve — follow in order
- 1
Look at the printer screen: it tells you the loaded size and the requested size.
- 2
Load the size the job actually needs, or change the job's paper size on the computer.
- 3
Register the loaded paper on the printer when it asks — this is what the check compares against.
- 4
In the printer's settings, set the cassette and rear tray paper sizes to what you normally use.
- 5
If you always print the same size, turn the mismatch check off in the printer's feed settings.
Pro tip
A4 and Letter are close but not identical — a printer set to one will query the other every time.
