Set up double-sided printing
Many Canon models print both sides automatically; those that do not can still do it manually in two passes.
01 · Identify — does this match what you see?
- Duplex option greyed out
- Second side prints upside down
- Only one side prints
02 · Resolve — follow in order
- 1
In the print dialog, look for Two-sided or Duplex printing and enable it.
- 2
Choose Long-edge binding for portrait documents and Short-edge for landscape.
- 3
If the option is missing, your model prints manually — choose odd pages, reload, then print even pages.
- 4
When reloading for manual duplex, keep the printed side facing the same way as the on-screen prompt shows.
- 5
Test with a two-page document before a long job.
Pro tip
Use paper of at least 80 gsm for duplex; thinner sheets let ink show through from the other side.
