Set up double-sided printing on an Epson

Save paper with automatic duplexing on models that support it — and learn the manual flip method for models that don't.

01 · Identify — does this match what you see?

  • Can't find the two-sided option
  • Second side prints upside down
  • Model without auto-duplex needs manual steps

02 · Resolve — follow in order

  1. 1

In the print dialog, open the layout/finishing settings and tick “Two-Sided” or “Duplex”.

  2. 2

Choose binding: “Long-edge” for portrait documents, “Short-edge” for landscape — this fixes upside-down back sides.

  3. 3

If the option is greyed out, the driver thinks the duplexer isn't installed — reinstall the full Epson driver package.

  4. 4

On models without auto-duplex, print odd pages first, restack them print-side up, and print even pages.

  5. 5

Test with a two-page document before running a long job.

Pro tip

If two-sided is missing only on one computer, that computer is using a generic or AirPrint driver — install the Epson driver to get the duplexer option back.
