Install Epson drivers on Windows or Mac
Skip the generic OS driver — the full Epson package gives you scan support, maintenance tools, and reliable ink-level reporting.
01 · Identify — does this match what you see?
- Printer prints but options like maintenance or scanning are missing
- First-time setup on a new computer
- Driver conflicts after an OS update
02 · Resolve — follow in order
- 1
Uninstall any old Epson entries first: Windows → Settings → Printers; Mac → Printers & Scanners, then delete leftover drivers.
- 2
Download the full “Drivers and Utilities Combo Package” for your exact model from Epson's support site.
- 3
Run the installer and connect by Wi-Fi or USB when it asks — not before.
- 4
On Mac, add the printer and make sure “Use” shows the Epson driver, not AirPrint, for full features.
- 5
Print a test page and open the Epson utility to confirm ink levels read correctly.
Pro tip
AirPrint gets a Mac printing in seconds but hides maintenance tools. Install the Epson driver anyway — you can keep both queues.
