Errors B203 and B204
Related to B200 — the printer detected an electrical fault around the printhead and stopped to protect itself.
01 · Identify — does this match what you see?
- B203 or B204 on screen
- Printer stops mid-job
- Carriage will not move
02 · Resolve — follow in order

Turn the printer off and unplug it for at least ten minutes.

Open the cover and check nothing is blocking the carriage.
- 3
Remove the printhead and cartridges, wipe the contacts, and refit everything firmly.

Plug in and power on. If the code returns immediately, the printhead has most likely failed.
- 5
Weigh the cost of a replacement head against the printer's value before booking a repair.
Pro tip
Repeating the reset over and over will not clear a genuine hardware fault — two attempts is enough to know.
