Error 1000 — no paper in the rear tray

01 · Identify — does this match what you see?

• 1000 on screen
• “Load paper” with paper loaded
• Paper sits too high or too low

02 · Resolve — follow in order

   Take the paper out, tap the stack square and put it back against the right-hand edge.

2. 2

   Slide the guide in until it touches without bending the sheets.

3. 3

   Load fewer than 40 sheets — an overfull tray stops the sensor arm moving.

4. 4

   Make sure the rear tray cover and paper support are fully opened.

5. 5

   Press OK to resume the job.
